This is my current play, which calls for six actors in a two-act play that examines love and lust after age 60. I have two descriptions: What happens between four senior women friends when one of them enters a new relationship? What do an activist, a healer, a writer, and a lover have in common? They are all older women, and are friends.
I have completed five revisions of this play and it’s getting close to a workshop with a group of actors. Since most theatre audiences consist of older women, I felt it time to produce a play about love and lust after age 60. We are not dead, just old. I drew on real experiences with friends to write about their thoughts and feelings. I wonder where it will go from here?
